Description
The body is a flat white square, 216 by 216mm and 62mm thick, with a sensor at each of the four corners and two water outlets underneath, one on each side. A laser sensor sits alongside the corner sensors, the one component the Neo has that the Plus does not. This is the window cleaning robot at the top of the Eclene range, the Neo.
Suction is rated at 3000Pa from a brushless motor, which holds the 1.3kg body against vertical glass while two wheels walk it across the pane. The microfibre cloth does the wiping, and water reaches it from a built-in tank through the two outlets, left or right depending on the direction of travel.
When the cycle finishes, the robot returns to its starting point and stops, so the spot where it is placed on the glass is the spot where it can be lifted off. Voice prompts announce each change of mode, useful when the robot is working on a window that is hard to stand in front of.
Laser Sensor, Frameless Detection and App Control on the Eclene Neo
The laser sensor and the four corner sensors work together to read the edge of the glass, which allows the Neo to be used on frameless panes as well as framed windows. The laser is the part meant for glass where the edge is harder to read, such as a worn frame or a large frameless panel. On a standard framed window in good condition, the Plus covers the same ground.
Power comes through a 5.5 metre cord, plugged in for the whole clean. The 650mAh cell is a backup rather than a cordless mode: if the mains supply cuts out, it holds suction for up to 40 minutes while a red light flashes and an alert sounds, long enough to pull the robot back by its safety rope.
Four cleaning modes are available: N-path, Z-path, a combined N-then-Z pass, and a fixed-point mode for one stubborn patch. In Z-path the robot sprays automatically as it moves, and a manual spray button on the remote or in the app adds water where a patch needs it.
The Neo sits at the top of the range, above the Lite, Home and Plus. Its specification matches the Plus apart from the laser sensor and the white finish. The full range of Eclene window cleaning robots sets out how the four models compare, and the Lite, Home, Plus and Neo comparison lines up the specifications side by side.
Remote or Phone, and What Comes in the Box
The remote handles every function the app does: mode selection, spray control, start and stop. The Tuya app pairs over Bluetooth and mirrors those controls on a phone, with voice prompts in English. It is a convenience, not a requirement.
Before the first clean, the tank takes clean water or diluted glass detergent, filled to about 80%, and the cloth is fitted without covering the corner sensors. The box holds the robot, remote, adapter with power cord, safety rope, refill bottle, cleaning cloth and manual. Noise stays at 65dB or under, and the unit is CE certified for 100 to 240V input.
On dry, undamaged glass, with the rope tied off indoors and the backup battery charged, the Neo sprays as it moves and comes back to where it started. Wet weather and damaged glass are outside what the manual allows.

Customer reviews
Worth it
Perfect for our hard-to-reach upstairs windows. Feels safe and it's quiet enough.
Saves me an hour a week
I used to dread window day. Now I stick it on the glass, make a cuppa and come back to a clean window. Genuinely life-changing.
Great on glass, fussy near frames
Excellent on big panes, but it stopped short around our chunky frames and left a thin strip. A quick wipe sorts it.
Everything I hoped for
We have a bay window, three patio doors and a lot of glass. I was sceptical, but this thing is brilliant. It sticks securely, finds the edges and covers the pane methodically. It takes about fifteen minutes a window, and the finish is streak-free. The safety rope and backup battery are reassuring features, and the instructions were clear. Highly recommend.
Great after a dusty week
After weeks of pollen and rain marks, the windows look new. It even handled the corners better than I expected.
Perfect for high windows
Our first-floor windows were a nightmare to reach and I'd been paying someone to do them. This robot pays for itself quickly. I clip the safety rope to a secure point, press start and it works its way across. I love not climbing a ladder, and the result is spotless. Easy to store, too.
Great on the conservatory
Tackled the conservatory glass without any drama. Very impressed.
Does what it says
Good suction and a decent finish. The cable is a touch short for my windows.
Easy with the remote
The remote makes it simple to start, stop and guide it where you want. Set-up took minutes and the instructions were clear.
A godsend for my mum
Mum can't manage a ladder any more. This does her windows safely while she sits and watches. Wish we'd bought one sooner.

Priced for what each model actually does
Every Eclene robot shares the same core mechanism, vacuum suction and a microfibre pad doing the wiping. The price difference across the range tracks real hardware, edge detection, automatic spray, laser sensing, not marketing dressed up as an upgrade.
Thirty days to decide, not just to unbox it
Every Eclene robot comes with a 30-day return window from the French Consumer Code, long enough to actually run it across a few windows before committing. Free UK delivery means trying one costs nothing extra beyond the price of the robot itself, and a UK-based team answers by email within 24 to 48 hours if anything about the setup isn't clear.
Questions about the Eclene Neo
Do I actually need the laser sensor, or is the Plus enough?
The laser sensor is the one addition over the Plus. It's there for edge detection, so it matters most where the edge of the glass is harder to read, such as a worn frame or a large frameless panel. On a standard window in good condition, the Plus covers the same ground for less.
Does the Neo clean any differently to the Plus?
No, suction, motor, spray and app control are the same. The laser sensor and the white finish are what set the Neo apart.
Can I control it entirely from my phone?
Yes, the Tuya app pairs over Bluetooth and mirrors every function on the physical remote, mode switching, spray control, start and stop, with voice prompts in English confirming each change.
What happens during a power cut?
A built-in battery holds suction for up to 40 minutes. The robot stays fixed to the glass with a flashing light and alert rather than continuing to move, giving time to pull it back down using the safety rope.
Is the Neo worth it over the Home for a standard framed window?
The Home already handles a standard framed window. The Neo adds a built-in tank with automatic spray, app control, frameless detection and the laser sensor. If none of those matter for your glass, the Home is enough.
