Eclene Home

The body is oval, similar in outline to the Air but slightly deeper, 295 by 145 by 118mm, with the same rotating cleaning disc on the front and a strip of status lights along the top edge. A safety rope trails from a buckle near the base, coiled for storage, uncoiled for use. This is the remote control window cleaning robot Eclene calls Home, positioned in the middle of the range.

The suction sits between 5600 and 6000Pa, a step up from the Air, and it drives the same two-wheel walking motion across the pane. What changes here is the border detection: the unit reads the edge of the frame on its own and turns before it reaches it, rather than relying purely on the remote's automatic-path buttons. A built-in 500mAh battery backs this up, holding the suction for fifteen minutes if the mains supply drops, enough time to notice the flashing red light and pull the rope.

On a landing window or a glazed door two floors up, that edge detection matters more than it sounds. The robot corrects its own path along a frame rather than waiting for a button press, and the remote itself works from either side of the glass, front or back, useful when standing directly in front of the machine isn't an option.

Power still runs through a cord, 5 metres of it, plugged in for the duration of the clean. The 500mAh cell is a backup system, not a battery-run mode, the same logic as the Air but with a shorter window, fifteen minutes rather than twenty. A microfibre mop, held on a plastic ring, does the actual wiping, sold as a set that swaps out when a cloth wears thin.

What Comes in the Box and How the Cleaning Cycle Runs

Cleaning starts dry. A first pass with the supplied cloth lifts dust and grit before any spray touches the glass, water mixed with surface dirt at that stage turns to mud and leaves marks rather than removing them. Once the first pass is done, one or two sprays from the included bottle onto the cloth, not the glass, handle anything left behind.

The box holds the robot, remote, AC adapter, safety rope, spray bottle, cleaning rings and cloths, and the printed manual. Noise sits at 65dB or under, low enough to run while someone works in the next room. Certified to CE, rated for 100-240V input, the same unit runs on either side of the Channel without a converter.

On glass with a frame, indoors or out, the Home holds its suction through a full pass and stops on its own once the border is read. Frameless panes and wet weather remain outside what the manual allows, moisture changes the grip the wheels rely on. Within a framed window, the sequence runs the same way each time, cord plugged in, rope tied off, edge detection doing the steering.
